I discovered your podcast, A Dark Memory, yesterday. It’s fantastic and very entertaining. You have a very nice speaking voice as well as a great talent for writing. I especially liked the episode about Maple Hill Cemetery and The Dead Children’s Playground. Huntsville, Alabama is only about an hours drive from where I live. Though I’ve never been to this playground I now know I must go soon. We are planning on going through one of The Huntsville Ghost Walks this year. I’m not sure where you’re located but another haunted site in Alabama is in Birmingham at the Sloss Furnace. The story, if you’ve never heard of it is that in the early part of the 20th century a very cruel foreman on the graveyard shift named James “Slag” Wormwood would work his crew, some probably to death, in order to impress his superiors. Slag fell into a vat of molten metal where he instantly melted. It is thought that some of his men may have thrown him in as revenge for his cruelty. It is thought that his ghost haunts Sloss Furnace. I don’t know if this would be something you might want to consider for a future “A Dark Memory” podcast episode. Either way, I love your show and look forward to listening. David

David, thank you for the comment and for listening to A Dark Memory! That story about the foreman sounds fascinating, it may have popped up while researching other topics but I didn’t know much about it until now when I started searching for more info after reading your comment. Your trips for ghost walks and haunted tours like that sound like a dream come true to me, I really hope you enjoy it! I will definitely add the Sloss Furnace to our topics to see what else we can find! Thank you for that! -Edwin
